Scottish Filipino Charity

The Scottish Filipino Charity will be holding it’s summer outing at the Lake District. The outing is a bus trip to Bowness-on-Windemere (part of the Lake District). If you would like to have fun while helping to raise money for the charity please join us.

It is important to book your place in the bus.  Book your place by emailing info@scottishfilipinocharity.org or confirming on our Facebook Event Invitation. Payment for the trip will be accepted on the day.

For any unforseen circumstances that you are unable to attend, the last day of cancellation is on 26 August 2010. Cancellations are accepted by emailing info@scottishfilipinocharity.org AND calling the Secretary (Freda Allan’s mobile: 07954359143). Failure to inform the charity of any cancellation by the 26 August 2010 will mean payment is still due.

The Philippines suffered terrible flooding in the past week, causing hundreds of deaths and displacing many tens of thousands of people.

The Scottish Filipino Charity today (1 October 2009) donated £1,000.00 from its funds to the Philippine Red Cross.

We are also looking for volunteers for street collections at Edinburgh City Centre on the following dates and times:

Friday,   16 October 2009 (Time to be confirmed)
Saturday, 17 October 2009 (Time to be confirmed)

Let us all help in any way we can to make the suffering in the Philippines at this time a little easier for the people most greatly affected by this disaster.

A Charity Concert in Edinburgh featuring Madonna Decena, Greg Morton, Renz Santos and Mizrach Revival

A Charity Concert in aid of the Scottish Filipino Charity

An evening of musical entertainment ranging from show tunes, stage musicals, pop ballads, alternative rock, pop, rock and dance music.

The concert features four main artists:

• Ms Madonna Decena from Britains Got Talent 2008
• Mr Greg Morton (singer, songwriter and musician) is the Manchester Evening News Search for a Star Winner 2003
• Mr Renz Santos is the Pinoy Idol UK 2006 Winner together with a young and promising Filipino
• Band Mizrach Revival from Glasgow and some additional performances from some surprise special guests
