ABOUT THE CHARITY

Stuart Boak, the first chairman of the Scottish Filipino Charity went to the Philippines. It broke his heart to see kids with nothing. Instead of studying, some of them were begging for food and checking the rubbish dumps. He realised that he needed to do something to help the desperately poor kids in the Philippines. The Scottish Filipino Charity was the answer to that.

The Scottish Filipino Charity raises money to help provide poor kids in the Philippines with basic education. Unlike in the UK where there is free education for children, a decent education in the Philippines is not cheap. Filipino children will do anything to have a chance of a decent education. The ultimate goal of the charity is to support the education of children on each of the 12 main islands of the Philippines.

The challenge for the charity is to continually sponsor the child and hopefully to help more Filipino children through education in more and more schools around the Philippines.

The Scottish Filipino Charity believes that with continuous support, the Filipino children’s dreams of a better future can and will be fulfilled.
